Mary Solberg’s works feature religious imagery presented in bold and iconic figures using mixed media. She also paints animals or people whether living or dead, real or imagined with the purpose of venerating them on a personal level. Her creations incorporate beeswax, metal leaf, acrylic, gems, texture, glitter, and oil. Circus sideshow banners are included in her list of inspirations as well as vintage postcards. Her artistic works celebrate the sacred in all.
Based in Minneapolis, Solberg is a Fine Arts, Magna Cum Laude graduate of Viterbo University, La Crosse, WI. Besides being an artist, she was also a gallerist at Odin Gallery-Odin Arts Cooperative, founder of UCLID Software, and owner of Solbergs and Associates Land Surveying Company.
